Acceptance of Agreed Work:
Upon paid deposit and acceptance of the work set out in the estimate provided by Upholstery Girl LLC, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined herein. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between the customer ("you" or "the client") and Upholstery Girl LLC.
Estimates & Deposits:
Estimates
All estimates provided by Upholstery Girl LLC are subject to change based on the final assessment of the furniture item(s) upon inspection. Clients are responsible for notifying Upholstery Girl of any known pre-existing damages or issues with the furniture when estimates are provided after seeing pictures only. Estimates provided by Upholstery Girl are valid for a period of three months from the date of issuance.
Deposits
A 50% deposit is due to retain one’s position on the tentative schedule and place fabric order. The remainder of the balance is due upon completion of the job prior to pick up or delivery of items.
Estimates are provided from photos as a general cost based on labor, fabric, and additional known items that may be required to complete the job.
Payment Terms:
Full payment is due upon completion of the work as agreed in the estimate and full payment is required at or before pick up.
Payment is preferable by check. However, Upholstery Girl will accept payment by online ACH without fees, or by major credits cards with a 3% convenience fee.
Additional Costs:
Additional costs can include but are not limited to the following: Foam, Dacron, specialty trims, tufting, pattern matching, spring work, rush fees, etc. These items are measured at the time of application and are not calculated at the time the initial estimate is given. If the above items are added to your furniture these costs will be added to your final invoice. Any additional work required that cannot be seen prior to fabric and padding removal will be communicated and agreed upon before proceeding.
Old Covers:
All old coverings will be discarded unless the customer requests for them to be returned in writing.
Completion Timeframe:
Upholstery Girl LLC will make reasonable efforts to complete the work within the agreed-upon timeframe.
The estimated completion timeframe provided is subject to change based on the complexity of the upholstery work, however we cannot guarantee an exact beginning & finish date for each job. Upholstery scheduling and the completion of each job can fluctuate due to distribution of materials, labor intensive aspects, or acts of God. If a client needs a definite completion date, please let Upholstery Girl LLC know at the beginning of the estimate process. Should immediate completion be necessary before the projected target date, a rush fee of 50% of the labor will apply. Upholstery Girl LLC will keep the customer informed at all times of supply problems or other factors that can affect delivery times.
Fabric Suitability Advisory:
Upholstery Girl LLC is committed to ensuring the suitability of fabrics for your upholstery projects. If fabric is supplied by Upholstery Girl LLC, we assume responsibility for its suitability only for your project. Final pattern selection is the sole responsibility of the client and Upholstery Girl LLC takes no responsibility for client’s choice of fabric.
When clients choose to supply their own fabric, Upholstery Girl LLC may offer suitability advice; however, ultimate responsibility for the material's suitability rests with the customer. The client must provide the yardage recommended by Upholstery Girl LLC for the project and assumes any risks associated with the fabric they provide. A cutting fee per yard will apply for white, leather, vinyl, velvet & mohair.
Customer Concerns:
Client may cancel a project until the fabric is ordered which is usually one day after deposit is paid. Once fabric has been ordered we are unable to refund fabric and shipping. Should the deposit not cover the entire cost of the fabric and shipping, the client will be responsible for the difference, or furniture and fabric will not be released. No refunds once labor has begun.
There are no
returns on Wallcoverings.
If the client has any concerns or is dissatisfied with the services provided, they have two weeks from the date of pick up to advise Upholstery Girl LLC. Upholstery Girl LLC will make reasonable efforts to address and resolve any issues brought to their attention within this timeframe.
Upholstery Girl LLC is not responsible for the care of the furniture or upholstered pieces once it leaves the shop. Client responsible for protecting and securing upholstered pieces and furnishings for transport.
